**Description:**
As a Flight Attendant with American Airlines, your main goal will be to make flying a positive, safe and secure experience for all travelers. This role requires dedication, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic and exhilarating work environment. YouÂ’ll have the opportunity to meet new people and travel to new places, while maintaining the highest standards of service and security.
**Responsibilities:**
– Ensure the safety, comfort, and care of passengers aboard flights
– Deliver friendly, efficient customer service and create a warm welcoming atmosphere
– Conduct pre-flight cabin checks and monitor cabin during the flight
– Administer and coordinate in-flight sales and service
– Provide medical assistance to passengers and coordinate with flight deck crew as necessary
– Attend mandatory pre-flight briefings and maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety procedures
**Requirements:**
– Minimum age of 21 years
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Ability to reach overhead bins and stand for extended periods
– Comfortable with flying and flexible with relocation as needed
– Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
– Fluent in English; bilingual or multilingual is a plus
– Must pass a background check and drug screening
– Legal right to work in the United States
**Educational Qualifications:**
– High school diploma or GED is required
– Further certifications in hospitality, customer service, or safety are advantageous but not required
