**Overview:**
The Registered Nurse 1 position at Carilion Clinic’s Urology department is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care to achieve optimum patient outcomes for patients of all ages. As a Clinic RN – Urology, you will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized plans of care… **Responsibilities:**
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in order to achieve optimum patient outcomes for patients of all ages
• Complete age-specific admission and ongoing assessments, documenting and using them to develop a plan of care
• Collaborate with healthcare team, patient, and family to develop, implement, and evaluate an age-specific interdisciplinary plan of care
• Accurately administer and document treatments and medications for patients of all ages using automated computer systems
• Identify patient/family educational needs and incorporate them into the plan of care
• Demonstrate the role of patient advocate, protector of patient’s rights, and provider of psychological/social/cultural support
• *Qualifications:**
• Graduate of school of professional nursing of an accredited college or graduate of an approved program eligible to sit for the VA licensure exam
• Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure
• Obtain CPR, and as needed ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications
• Computer skills required for electronic medical record (EPIC)
• Successfully complete orientation and competency requirements
