Job Description:
Conducts all processes that pertain to inbound receiving, such as accepting, inspecting, and logging merchandise, and arranging them in their designated storage areas or assemblage carts.
As a full-time employee, your workdays will be Monday through Friday with an 7AM start and 3:30PM end
Responsibilities:
• The unloading process involves the precise counting and recording of received shipments, followed by staging them for stocking department and storage readiness.
• Powered pallet jack/forklift operation should be carried out exclusively in accordance with OSHA and Whole Foods safety guidelines during product unloading and movement activities.
• Check the quality of new products as they arrive to ensure that they satisfy Whole Foods Market’s quality requirements.
• Thoroughly checks and confirms the exact number of items to ensure the order is precise.
• Affix labels to products using a sticky method to establish a labeling system of record.
• Adjust the placement of the products to ensure efficient storage or staging.
• Organize the product-receiving area efficiently by removing recyclable and waste items.
• Load all reusable waste and other goods onto the freight carrier.
• Ensure that all documents pertaining to the items being shipped are fully completed.
• Ensuring that the workplace is safe, mess-free and well-arranged is essential.
• By conforming to OSHA’s safety guidelines, you are actively promoting workplace safety and protecting the well-being of all employees.
• Stick to the assigned door for incoming traffic.
• Verification and confirmation of driver check-in and carrier paperwork.
• Goods are moved from one common carrier truck to another without being held for long periods of time in cross-docking.
• The key to accuracy in verifying received items is to cross-reference the quantities with the details included in the shipping documents from the carrier.
• Categorize the items and distribute them across multiple pallets.
• Streamline the put away process by utilizing identification tags on pallets.
• Rearrange items to their predetermined areas.
• Pay attention to even the smallest details in providing service to guests.

The hourly compensation for this job can be anywhere from $15.00 to $26.00, and is contingent on one’s range of experience.
