Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, scan, and index documents into the electronic health record under the appropriate document types using provided tools.
• Conduct thorough analysis of scanned documents to ensure all information is accurately recorded, clear, and linked to the correct patient identification and document type, supporting our commitment to patient safety.
• Perform quality assurance audits on scanned documents to maintain accuracy and reliability.
• Prioritize scanning upon receipt, utilizing the appropriate Integrated Scanning method.
• Analyze personal health information (PHI) documents to determine the necessity of scanning, selecting the appropriate document type and scanning protocol.
• Upload and/or import documents and accurately enter information into the electronic health record.
• Complete other duties as assigned to support the team.
Education
• High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and performing repetitive movements with hands and legs.
• Use of vision for identifying and distinguishing colors, as well as depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more).
• Regularly engage in oral communication, including listening for alarms and identifying malfunctioning machinery.
• Frequent keyboard use and data entry.
• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping.
• Occasionally lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
• Rare climbing.
Work Schedule
• PRN (Hours vary up to 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Day Shift | No Weekends or Holidays)
