Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mac Engineer with hands-on expertise in JAMF to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing, maintaining, and improving our Apple ecosystem, ensuring seamless operation across macOS devices. As a Mac Engineer, you will design, deploy, and support Apple device management solutions while adhering to best practices for security, compliance, and efficiency. This is a 6 month contract to hire and is remote 4 days per week.
Responsibilities:
• Apple Device Management:
• Administer and manage the Apple ecosystem using JAMF Pro, including provisioning, configuration, patching, and inventory management.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain configuration profiles, policies, and packages for macOS and iOS devices.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Apple device performance, ensuring optimal user experience.
• Infrastructure and Security:
• Ensure Apple devices comply with security standards and policies, including encryption, password policies, and patch management.
• Implement and maintain integration between JAMF and other enterprise systems (e.g., Active Directory, Okta, or SSO solutions).
• Collaborate with the security team to mitigate vulnerabilities and respond to security incidents affecting Apple devices.
• Automation and Scripting:
• Develop custom scripts (e.g., using Bash, Python, or AppleScript) to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Enhance and maintain deployment workflows for large-scale device rollouts and updates.
• End-User Support and Training:
• Provide tier-3 support for escalated macOS and iOS issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Assist end-users with technical troubleshooting and device management issues.
• Develop user documentation and provide training to enhance Apple device adoption and usage.
• Project Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT initiatives and ensure seamless integration of Apple devices within the organization.
• Research and evaluate emerging Apple technologies and recommend improvements to the Apple ecosystem.
• Contribute to the development and execution of IT roadmaps, focusing on scalability and innovation.
