Job Title: Medical Customer Service Representative – Urgently Hiring!
Location: Rockville, MD – 100% onsite for 6 months, then hybrid 2 days remote/3 days onsite
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Medical Customer Service Representative to join our team in Rockville, MD. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients and clients, providing assistance with a variety of inquiries, claims, and eligibility issues. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have a working knowledge of medical systems and claims processing.

Responsibilities:
• Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of basic plan provisions, multiple benefit schedules, eligibility systems, claim systems, etc.
• Respond promptly and accurately to phone calls, e-mails, walk-in participants, and written correspondence by answering questions and explaining claim payments and denials.
• Quote self-payment amounts, verify eligibility and benefits, research eligibility or claim issues, and update eligibility with outside vendors.
• Document all patient interactions in patient account system
• Perform various clerical duties, including entering enrollment forms, processing working spouse forms, special fund claims, and disability claims.
• Handle messages from after hours mailbox and follow up with patients as needed

Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare call center setting
• Must be able to pass a typing test at 40 WPM
• Knowledge of medical terminology and claims processes is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems and medical software.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour
