Remote Customer Retention Specialist (Part-time)

Overview:
The Retention Specialists’ main purpose is to retain current customers of Globe Life. You will speak with existing policyholders and try to resell the benefits of why it is important to have life insurance

Primary Responsibilities:
• Call Center Environment Position – Need to be comfortable handling high volume calls on a daily basis – Dependent on the volume but on average around 90+ calls per day – Mixture of both inbound and outbound calls
• Heavy phone contact with existing policyholders who are wanting to cancel their policy
• Trying to explain and resell the benefits of why it is important to have life insurance
• Services cancellation requests
• Ensure customer needs are met on every interaction
• Maintain department standards for number of calls, average handle and time management

Requirements:
• 1+ years of work experience in a high volume contact center environment, receptionist role, -OR- a role in which they commonly took calls on a daily basis (Strict Requirement)
• 6+ months of experience in Retention, OR Sales, OR Collections
• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Remote Experience Strongly Preferred but not required
• Reliable internet connection (Must meet a minimum of 20 Download and 20 Upload internet speed and must be a hard-wired connection)
• Must have a smartphone to be able to access VPN
• Not able to hire any candidates who are licensed in life and/or health and plan on working for another insurance agency outside of this position as it would be a conflict of interest.
• For safety reasons – It is required that you have or are willing to obtain a fire extinguisher to keep in your home
• Quiet & Professional Workplace
• Basic Computer Knowledge/Skills
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Minimum typing requirement of 30 wpm
• Superior customer service skills required – friendly, efficient, good listener
• Proficient use of the computer, keyboard functions and Microsoft Office
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Must be detail-oriented

Preferences:
• Insurance Industry experience would be considered a plus but not a requirement
• Experience in Sales is a plus but not required
• Bilingual candidates are needed but it is not required

Training Hours:
• Waco (Globe)
• Part-time AM: 8:00am to 5:00pm (CST) Monday – Friday the first 4 weeks of employment (Candidates will be trained with the full-time employees)

Pay Rate:
• Waco/Globe: $15.89/hr base pay

Bonus Pay (Differs based upon campaign):
• Waco / AIL : Eligible to earn “prorated commission” of up to an additional $6.00/hr based upon performance of how many policies are conserved

Hours of Operation:
• Monday – Friday 5:00pm – 9:00pm CST and Saturdays 8am-12pm with one off day during the week
• Closed on Sundays

Schedule post-training:
• Waco (Globe)
• Part-time: Monday – Friday 10:00am – 2:00pm

Equipment:
• Candidates must have a smartphone for this role to access VPN
• All other equipment will be provided by the company
