Senior IT Asset Data Analyst – Remote
We are on the lookout for a Senior IT Asset Data Analyst to join our dynamic team, dedicated to the strategic oversight and enhancement of IT asset data management. This pivotal role demands a keen analytical approach and a meticulous eye for detail to ensure the accuracy and integrity of asset records, aligning with our organizational standards. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to uncover trends, identify policy discrepancies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to propose effective enhancements to both data and processes.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in advancing our asset management practices, emphasizing data integrity across software, hardware, and capital assets. Your specialized knowledge will significantly contribute to the elevation of asset data quality, and you will have the chance to actively participate in the ongoing refinement of our IT Asset Management (ITAM) program.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough analyses on the quality of asset data spanning all software and hardware assets, including capital assets, utilizing ServiceNow.
• Identify essential data sources and implement repeatable processes to detect data anomalies, ensure compliance, and reveal trends.
• Employ data visualization techniques to effectively communicate trends, challenges, and opportunities to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with technical teams, business analysts, and process owners to relay findings and assist in the development of actionable remediation strategies.
• Design and generate insightful reports, encompassing compliance, key performance indicators (KPIs), and trend analyses.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in data management and operational processes.
• Support advancements in IT asset management, including the automation of inventory and asset tracking systems.
• Assist in shaping and refining the IT asset management (ITAM) program by identifying gaps and influencing governance policies.
Required Skills
• Comprehensive knowledge in data mining, statistical analysis, and mathematics.
• Proven experience handling large datasets with proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Power BI.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow (notably HAM Pro, SAM Pro, and CMDB), with a preference for additional experience in Splunk and Power BI.
• Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal.
• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of the System/Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Project Management methodologies.
• Awareness of finance and procurement processes, including accounts payable, depreciation, net book value, and fixed assets.
• A genuine enthusiasm for continuous process enhancement.
Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist.
