Key Responsibilities
As the Teaching Site Coordinator, you will be pivotal in orchestrating and executing a dynamic four-day-a-week program centered on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). This part-time position encompasses both coordination and teaching duties, enabling you to nurture a supportive and stimulating learning atmosphere for our students.
• Collaborate closely with program directors and school personnel to facilitate the enrollment and registration processes for students.
• Oversee the daily implementation of the in-person STEAM curriculum and enrichment activities with guidance from site directors.
• Act as the primary liaison for parents, volunteers, and school staff regarding student enrollment, schedules, and progress, while promoting family engagement initiatives.
• Ensure a safe and structured learning environment conducive to emotional well-being.
• Foster positive relationships with students, modeling healthy lifestyle choices and supporting them through behavioral challenges.
• Employ effective strategies to maintain consistent student attendance and fulfill enrollment targets.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, program activities, and other pertinent data as required by the program director.
• Collaborate with program directors to design enrichment activities, schedules, and curriculum content.
• Lead a small team of teachers, teaching assistants, and volunteers, promoting teamwork and open communication.
• Facilitate weekly team meetings to discuss program needs, reflect on practices, and identify areas for improvement.
• Respond promptly to inquiries from students, families, and team members via phone and email throughout the program.
• Assist in organizing family and community events, presentations, and guest activities.
• Uphold professionalism at all times, adhering to program expectations and online safety protocols.
Required Skills

Qualifications
• Valid State of Maine Teaching Certification.
