### Job Description:
As a Flight Attendant at Southwest Airlines, you will ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of your passengers while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. The role requires adaptability, a positive attitude, and an impeccable level of service in all duties—from conducting pre-flight checks to instructing passengers on safety procedures and serving snacks and beverages.
### Responsibilities:
– Conduct pre-flight cabin checks and ensure all safety equipment are functioning optimally.
– Greet passengers warmly, assist with seating, and help with luggage stowage.
– Instruct passengers on all safety procedures and ensure their understanding.
– Serve drinks, snacks, and meals on board; sell on-board products where necessary.
– Provide special attention to passengers needing extra assistance, such as unaccompanied minors, seniors, or people with disabilities.
– Manage and diffuse difficult situations or unruly passengers to maintain onboard safety and harmony.
– Administer first aid to passengers or coordinate with flight deck in case of health emergencies.
### Requirements:
– Minimum age of 20 years.
– High school diploma or GED equivalent; some college preferred.
– Must pass a background check, drug testing, and fingerprint clearance.
– Ability to relocate as required and adapt to a flexible schedule.
– Capable of physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and fitting in an aircraft jump seat with a belt.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Proficiency in English; bilingual or multilingual is a plus.
### Educational Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent required.
– Further certification in hospitality or customer service is a plus.
### Experience:
– Experience in customer service, hospitality, or aviation is highly preferred but not mandatory.
