What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
– Listen to recorded interviews and focus groups to transcribe audio content accurately
– Use transcription software to convert spoken words into written text
– Ensure adherence to specified formats and maintain accuracy and consistency in transcriptions
– Collaborate with researchers and project leads to meet project deadlines
– Proofread and edit transcriptions for clarity and readability, while maintaining confidentiality
What is Required (Qualifications):
– Current undergraduate student at UW-Madison
– Strong attention to detail and excellent listening skills
– Proficient typing speed and familiarity with transcription software or willingness to learn
– Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
– Commitment of 5-10 hours per week
