• Take on a hybrid role that combines individual contributions to development efforts with leadership responsibilities, including guiding and mentoring the software team.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, and innovation.
• Design, improve, and extend APIs for GrayMatter Robotics’ on-premise and cloud-based applications.
• Build and maintain a customer-facing, performant front-end application.
• Create and optimize systems for synchronizing data between on-premise and cloud-based systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deeply understand customers’ needs and deliver a reliable, seamless user experience.
Requirements:
• BS/MS degree in software development or similar/equivalent industry experience.
• Proven experience managing and mentoring engineering teams, including performance reviews, career development, and hiring.
• Experience designing, launching, and versioning APIs
• Experience with Python and AWS tooling
• Experience in frontend development with TypeScript, JS, Node.js, react, or similar
• Demonstrated experience creating production or live web applications
• Experience interfacing with RESTful APIs, CORS and modern authentication systems such as web tokens
• Experience with frontend development tools such as NPM and NextJS
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across multiple engineering teams and able to articulate technical design decisions
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing priorities
• Must secure work authorization in the United States and maintain ongoing work authorization beginning at the time of hire through the entirety of employment
