Technology Field Support Intern
Position Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and tech-savvy Technology Field Support Summer Intern to join our team for the summer. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience assisting in the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT equipment and infrastructure. This internship is ideal for individuals passionate about technology and eager to work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:
• Provide on-site support for hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Assist with the setup and configuration of desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including updates, upgrades, and equipment inspections.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, escalating complex problems to senior team members as needed.
• Document support activities, including issue resolution steps and best practices.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely resolution of user requests and incidents.
• Assist with inventory management and tracking of IT assets.
• Participate in deployment projects, such as equipment rollouts, migrations, and office relocations.
• Education Requirements:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Currently pursuing a degree in a related major with a final graduation date no earlier than December 2025.
• Related Work Experience:
Familiarity with working in a corporate environment
Functional Skills:
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to lift and move IT equipment as needed.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, or Linux).
• Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
• Knowledge of IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL, is a plus.
• Awareness of cybersecurity best practices.
