Blazer Jobs is currently seeking experienced Special Education Teachers for part-time positions within school districts in the Marshall, Michigan area. We are looking for dedicated professionals committed to making a positive impact on the lives of students with special needs.
Position Requirements:
• Must hold a valid Michigan teaching license in Special Education.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with physical, emotional, or cognitive disabilities.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
• Ability to collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to support student development.
• Familiarity with Michigan special education laws and regulations.
• Must pass a background check and meet other district-specific hiring requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of each student.
• Provide differentiated instruction and accommodations to ensure all students can access the curriculum.
• Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to meet educational goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create a supportive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and administrators.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other relevant meetings to discuss student progress and plans.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and success.
• Stay current with best practices and research in special education through ongoing professional development.
