Responsibilities
• Create and Implement Online IEPs: Develop personalized Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and learning plans tailored to each student’s unique needs.
• Deliver Virtual Instruction: Provide engaging and individualized online instruction to students with disabilities, ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed.
• Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and other specialists to provide comprehensive support for students.
• Leverage Assistive Technology: Use various assistive technologies to enhance the learning experiences of your students, ensuring they can fully participate in the online classroom.
• Communicate with Families: Maintain regular and open communication with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child’s progress and address any concerns.
Requirements
• West Virginia Teaching License: Must hold a current teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience working in special education, preferably in an online setting.
• Digital Proficiency: Strong skills in digital literacy, including familiarity with learning management systems and online teaching methods.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and organizational abilities to effectively manage your online classroom and meet the needs of your students.
