Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic Wealth Management team in a fully remote capacity within the U.S. This is a unique opportunity to engage in comprehensive tax services that play a crucial role in our clientsÂ’ financial planning, while working in an environment that prioritizes collaboration and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with the Tax team and Financial Advisors to provide integrated and thorough tax support for clients.
• Prepare and review an array of federal and state tax returns, including those pertaining to gifts and trusts, for a diverse clientele across various states.
• Assess and calculate quarterly estimated tax payments to ensure compliance and timeliness.
• Develop responses to tax inquiries, aiding clients in their communications with the IRS and state tax authorities.
• Oversee U.S. international tax reporting for clients with foreign assets, including required forms such as FinCEN 114, 8938, and 1116.
• Assist in tax planning for a wide range of client scenarios, including stock-based compensation and self-employment contexts.
• Conduct analyses of wages and withholdings, advising clients on adjustments to align with their financial objectives.
• Provide year-round consulting on tax-related matters, conducting necessary research to meet client needs.
• Engage in the evaluation and implementation of software solutions to optimize team efficiency.
• Contribute innovative ideas to enhance the processes of the tax team and improve the client experience.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA license or EA credential strongly preferred; candidates must meet educational requirements for certification if not yet certified.
• 1 to 4 years of experience in tax services, particularly in tax preparation and compliance for high-net-worth clients.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex tax topics for clients and team members.
• Familiarity with tax issues pertinent to high-net-worth individuals and a commitment to expanding knowledge.
• Organized, dependable, and adept at creating systems to manage tasks efficiently.
• Proficient in technology and open to exploring new tools for process improvement.
• Experience with CCH Axcess, CCH AnswerConnect, BNA Income Tax Planner, and Sureprep is advantageous, or a willingness to learn.
Career Growth Opportunities
Demonstrated strong performance and active CPA or EA credentials can lead to a Tax Manager role within one to two years, providing a clear trajectory for professional advancement.
Compensation And Benefits
