Job Summary:
The primary responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk position are to contact customers for payment, apply payments received, resolve any payment discrepancies, and/or receive invoices and process for payment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Communicate with customers to facilitate timely receipt of payments.
• Receive and process payments in accordance of established procedures and guidelines.
• Review and verify invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Input invoices for payment and perform check runs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions.
• Monitor customer account details for delayed or non-payments.
• Set up credit terms for customer accounts.
• Investigate discrepancies and reconcile any differences.
• Resolve billing errors to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation.
• Special projects as assigned.
Skills and Experience Required:
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
• Must be able to work efficiently under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize time effectively.
• Available to work a full-time shift during operating hours (M-F).
• Functional knowledge of MS Office applications. (Intermediate knowledge of Excel)
• A High School Diploma or GED required.
• General working knowledge of accounting principles.

What are your top 3-5 MUST HAVEs OR REQUIRED skillset? Intermediate Excel, basic knowledge of other Office programs, accounting / bookkeeping experience, interpersonal / communication skills

What is the shift going to be? M-F 8 working hours per day –schedule will be set (but flexible per the candidate) between 7am – 5pm with either half hour or one hour lunch, their preference
