What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
– Facilitate admissions and assessment processes for incoming patients
– Respond to inquiries about the facility within established timeframes
– Schedule and complete pre-admission assessments, communicating recommendations to patients and families
– Collaborate with medical and psychiatric personnel to ensure appropriate admissions
– Perform insurance benefit verifications and secure initial pre-authorization for treatment
What is Required (Qualifications):
– Four years of experience in sales, call center settings, and insurance
– Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science, Social Work, Vocational Rehabilitation, Sociology, Public Administration, or a related field; or a registered nurse with an associate’s degree in nursing, or a licensed practical or vocational nurse with successful completion of an LPN or LVN training program
– Minimum one year of experience working with individuals in a clinical or observational capacity, preferably within the area of specialty for the hiring facility
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
– Experience in a healthcare-related admissions or coordination role
– Master’s degree in a therapeutic field
– Familiarity with insurance processes and patient care coordination
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
