American Express seeks a Manager, Risk Management to develop business strategies and risk management solutions using consumer or business bureau data. This role involves:

Analyzing structured and unstructured data using statistical, financial, machine learning, or business intelligence techniques.
Collaborating with technology and other teams to implement risk management policies and business strategies.
Identifying and evaluating new data sources (regulated and unregulated) to enhance the efficiency of American Express products and services.
Applying industry best practices and incorporating regulatory feedback to continuously improve risk management strategies.

Qualifications
Education:

A graduate degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in each of the following:

Risk management and cost-benefit analysis.
Communicating complex analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaboration with technical, analytical, business, and non-technical teams.
Business process improvement, project management, and driving organizational change.
Using MS Excel for financial and data reporting/modeling.
Proficiency in tools such as Databricks, Python, R, SAS, SQL, Tableau, Teradata, Unix, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Work Arrangements:

Flexible hybrid work option, with up to 3 days remote work per week.
