About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Applications Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the areas of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems. Your territory will cover several states within the Pacific and Mountain time zones, and you will play a key role in supporting our clients with their electrical system needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Technical Support: Provide expert-level technical support to clients, including troubleshooting, system analysis, and design recommendations for power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
• Project Management: Assist in managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to client specifications.
• Client Interaction: Serve as the technical point of contact for clients within your territory, addressing technical queries, providing solutions, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Training: Conduct training sessions for clients on the operation and maintenance of electrical systems, ensuring they are equipped to manage their systems effectively.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to develop proposals and respond to RFPs, ensuring technical accuracy and feasibility.
• Documentation: Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience working with power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, protective relays, and power quality equipment.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with industry-standard software for electrical design and analysis (e.g., ETAP, PSCAD, AutoCAD).
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
