About The Role

The Assistant Project Director, Technical Assistance Center (TAC) will play a crucial role in supporting the Lead Project Director in planning, executing and closing out projects. The role will include managing reunification operations supporting the ORR (Office of Refugee Resettlement) Reunification Management at Border locations, the oversight of the Sponsor Technical Assistance Center (TAC) and other projects upon contract need. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. The Assistant Project Director, Technical Assistance Center (TAC) will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project documentation, and assist in the implementation of project plans.

What You Will Do
• Responsible for the reunification operations at locations to include Border Locations, Technical Assistance Center (TAC) and other projects upon contract need.
• Interface with TPG Executive Management and clients on a regular basis
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Facilitate presentations and meetings across the enterprise to include client meetings
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Track and report on project progress against established milestones
• Maintain accurate and up to date project documentation, including schedules, project plans and status reports.
• Generate regular progress reports for stakeholders and project sponsors.
• Compile and analyze data to support decision making processes.
• Collaborate with the Lead Project Director to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Assist in resource allocation and utilization to ensure project objectives are met within budget and timeline constraints.
• Support Lead Project Director in managing changes to project scope, schedule and budget.
• Monitor resource availability and adjust plans as necessary to address potential conflicts or constraints.
• Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project success.
• Facilitate effective communication between project teams, key partners and sponsors.
• Organize and lead project meetings, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
• Create, edit, review and oversee project deliverables to ensure they meet established quality standards.
• Foster cross-functional partnerships to ensure a coordinated and cohesive approach to fraud prevention across the program.
• Assist in conducting risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and areas of concern.
• Execute responsibilities as outlined in the contract.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or an equivalent degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology or other relevant Behavioral Science
• Master’s degree in Social Work or other relevant Behavioral Science (preferred)
• 5+ years of related case management experience with at least 3 years recent experience in Project Management or related roles.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience developing, documenting and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures
• Ability to analyze information and make sound decisions based on findings and data
• Ability to oversee personnel across a range of experience and expertise
• Ability to identify areas in need of improvement and improving project performance
• Must possess strong computer skills in MS Office, including Excel, Word, Teams
• Ability to type 45 wpm

Work Environment

This is a remote opportunity where occasional travel could be required. Since this is a remote role, you must have a dedicated workspace conducive to full videoconferencing (camera and audio) for facilitating webinars and online discussions.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position, but hours could vary depending on needs. May include travel, evenings, and weekends to meet different time zones and projects.

Conditions of Employment

• A valid US Driver’s license
• Have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

Security Clearance Requirements
• Applicants selected will be subject to a government background investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• Must be a U.S Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Residency requirement – 3 consecutive years in the last 5 years.

Physical Demands
• Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to attend meeting with other managers and employees.
• Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 10% of the time.
• Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 10% of the time.
• Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type and use a telephone system 100% of the time.
• Sitting: Sitting for prolonged and extended periods of time.
