Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Lower School Associate Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. This position is pivotal in supporting the Lead Teacher to cultivate an engaging and developmentally suitable learning environment that aligns with our mission and vision. Key Responsibilities
• Assist the Lead Teacher in organizing and delivering educational programs that cater to the developmental requirements of Lower School students.
• Facilitate student engagement through the Responsive Classroom model during morning interactions, promoting positive relationships among peers and educators.
• Create and maintain a nurturing classroom atmosphere conducive to learning, including overseeing instructional activities and authentic assessments.
• Maintain clear and open communication with students, parents, colleagues, and administration.
• Utilize the online platform ‘Seesaw’ for sharing classroom updates with families.
• Participate in various school functions and traditions as directed by the Early Childhood/Lower School Division Head.
• Engage actively in school programs, including committees, assemblies, and field trips.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of student activities as assigned by the Lead Teacher.
• Commit to continuous professional development and training opportunities provided by the institution.
• Supervise students as required, understanding that responsibilities may extend beyond standard hours.
• Integrate technology seamlessly into classroom instruction and remote learning.

Required Skills
• A genuine passion for working with young children and a robust understanding of their developmental needs.
• Ability to lead and facilitate learning in both group and individual settings.
• High levels of energy, empathy, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.
• Proficiency with various technological tools, including iPad and iPhone applications, Google Suite, and photo editing software.
• Strong organizational and communication capabilities.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and navigate the campus throughout the day.

Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A minimum of three years of experience working with young children is preferred.
