What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
• Conduct account investigation, follow-up, and collections on clinical trial/research accounts
• Collaborate with the Center for Clinical Trials regarding upcoming research studies
• Monitor patient visit statuses in coordination with physicians and study coordinators
• Apply knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding for accurate billing processes
• Ensure compliance with all government regulations regarding billing practices
What Is Required (Qualifications)
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Minimum of three years of experience in a medical billing office
• General understanding and application of basic accounting principles
• Proficiency in PC usage
• Knowledge of GE/IDX, EPIC, or similar computerized billing systems
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
• Familiarity with payers in specialty
• Understanding of FSCs and pay codes used in GE/IDX, EPIC, or billing systems
• Knowledge of contractual requirements related to medical billing
