About The Job
• Collateral Subject Matter Expert must also be familiar with the unique challenges and considerations associated with these types of loans.
• This could include understanding the risks associated with lending to borrowers who may not meet traditional lending criteria, and how this might impact the evaluation of collateral assets.
• For a mortgage, the collateral is almost always the property being purchased with the loan.
• The lender can take possession of the collateral if the borrower does not repay the loan according to the terms of the agreement.
Essential Job Functions:
• Good exposure of the underwriting review of the Non-QM Loans.
• Well verse with Non-QM Products like 12/24 Months Bank Statements, ITIN Loans, ALT DOC Loans, and DSCR Loans.
• Interpret Non-QM Matrix & Guidelines accurately
• Complete review of the Borrower profile including collateral, compliance and other lending risks such as interested party involvements
• Complete review of data consistency across the entire loan package to match system, AUS (DU/LP), Fraud Guard Reports or any other reports used to compliance or fraud checks
• Complete review of collateral including in depth analysis of appraisal reports, title commitment, fraud risk checks, insurances documents and sales contract
• Interpret credit policy guidelines and investor guidelines (all Client, FHLMC) and apply them to specific loans for effective sale in the secondary market
• Maintain a working knowledge of all current underwriting guidelines, federal and state lending laws and has the ability to comprehensively explain all to others while processing the mortgage loan files
• Stringently look for the Loan to Value (LTV), Debt to Income ratio (DTI) and Housing to Income ratio (HTI) ratios components in the mortgage loan files
• Effectively and quickly communicate any areas of concern with a loan file to supervisors/managers.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and professionalism.
• Should have very good writing skills with proper grammar and able to summarize requirements in short but clear format.
• Determining, documenting underwriting conditions, communicating requirements and decisions.
• Underwriters maintain high-quality standards by meticulously reviewing loan files. They verify accuracy, completeness, and consistency of information to minimize errors.
• Reviewing the PnP manual and updating it periodically with any new updates and changes
• Acts as an SME for the team to Identify and resolve issues and document all process changes.
• Strictly adhere to the process and floor info Sec policies at all times
• Implement and act in accordance with the organization’s information security policy
• Protect assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification destruction or interference
• Execute particular security processes or activities as may be assigned by the superior
• Be accountable and responsible for actions taken
• Report breach of security events or other security risks to the organization
Qualifications:
Exp: 1 – 4 Years
Eligibility Criteria
• Meeting goals as per the defined key result areas
• Maintaining a track of daily processed transactions and reporting on a timely and accurate manner to Process Supervisor / Team lead
• To be abreast with all process updates on a timely manner
• Appearing and qualifying all periodic process assessments with defined benchmark scores
• Achieving daily productivity and quality targets
• Adherence to process SLA’s (ensure loan delivery SLA- Service level agreement is not missed)
Education
• Fulltime Science/ Commerce/B.SC IT graduates, Graduate and or Post Graduate.
• No gap in education and employment
• Medium of education English
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, across a variety of audiences
• Ability to analyze and comprehend multiple documents
• 1st class in HSC and Graduation (> 60% Scores) from a reputed university
• Professional and effective interpersonal skills
