Job Description

The Mom Project is excited to partner with a team who is seeking a Digital Marketing and Content Specialist to lead and execute digital strategies that expand our reach, increase engagement, and drive revenue growth through content-driven, data-informed marketing efforts. This remote position offers flexible, project-based work (5-15 hours weekly) and involves a range of activities, from SEO optimization and content creation to data analytics and social media engagement. This role is ideal for a proactive marketer with strong financial writing and SEO skills, as well as experience using advanced digital tools.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Strategy
• Develop and manage a content calendar for social media and blog posts.
• Create engaging written and visual content, such as social media carousels, blog articles, and newsletters, with an emphasis on finance-related topics.
• Research, interview, and write articles that align with the company mission, employing SEO best practices to drive organic growth.
• Utilize tools like ChatGPT and Claude to generate content ideas and drafts efficiently.

SEO & Web Optimization
• Conduct keyword research and optimize site content (metadata, schema markup) to enhance search engine visibility.
• Monitor website performance metrics (impressions, engagement, and traffic) and address errors identified by tools like Ahrefs.
• Build effective, user-centered web pages, collaborating with the founder for layout and copy guidelines.

Social Media & Engagement
• Develop and execute social media strategies that increase impressions, engagement rates, and followers.
• Measure and analyze social media metrics to adjust strategies for optimal performance.
• Create and share compelling content across various social platforms to maintain company voice and authority in the financial education field.

Data Analytics & Reporting
• Regularly review and report web metrics, including site traffic, conversions, and session attribution, using Google Analytics and other tools.
• Work independently to recommend data tools that reduce reliance on external agencies.

Growth & Revenue Targets
• Support strategic goals by enhancing the registration pipeline for FMC certifications and expanding partnerships with non-core schools.
• Contribute to achieving a 50% growth in social media impressions, engagement, and newsletter subscriptions.
• Develop and refine revenue models, particularly for the company newsletter’s B2B offerings.

Qualifications
• Proven experience with content marketing and SEO strategies.
• Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Ads, Ahrefs, and website management platforms like Square Space.
• Strong skills in financial/business writing and ability to conduct interviews and research.
• Proficiency with AI tools for content generation (ChatGPT, Claude).
• Experience creating actionable insights from analytics data to drive digital strategy.

Compensation

Hourly rate of $35-50, based on experience. This is a 1099 contractor role with a flexible, remote work arrangement. Applicants must have their own equipment and workspace.
