• Your active ownership of the data vision and team will lead the company to continued growth in our mission to help chronic disease patients live healthier and happier lives.
• Specifically, you will:
• Create and communicate the vision and roadmap of WellthÂ’s data ingestion… warehousing, transformation, analytics, and reporting systems across the company that directly impact our core revenue streams.
• Bring to life our next generation of attributed outcomes reporting that drives customer expansion – these improved patient health outcomes are what we sell!
• Design systems and teams to support our future scale in volume, variety, and availability.
• Manage and grow a high-functioning team of 12 data managers, engineers, analysts, and scientists.
• Deliver the vision by driving the execution of data projects and work streams across ingestion, transformation, analytics, and reporting.
• Determine, measure, and manage to KPIs about systems, builders, and operations.
• Collaborate with product managers, technical leaders, and senior executives to understand and serve internal and external stakeholders.
• Continuously maintain and improve the data quality bar throughout the data life cycle.
• Be responsible for the architecture of Wellth’s data infrastructure, which enables Wellth to use data effectively in key business decisions at scale.
• Identify optimizations in our data processes and systems that improve efficiency and reduce waste and costs.
• Proactively provide deep analytics and insights to leaders that support their objectives.
• Maintain healthy data governance practice to ensure a reliable single source of truth.
• Protect the privacy of Wellth’s data, its customers, and their patients by following secure SDLC guidelines to maintain our HITRUST certification.

Requirements:
• A proven, effective people manager with at least 7 years of experience in a people management role, including 3+ years managing and developing a team of data engineers, analysts, scientists, and data engineering managers.
• Accomplished with delivering production data systems, with 5+ years of professional experience building, operating, and improving them.
• Proficient in operational excellence, with 5+ years of experience troubleshooting, remediating, and learning from operational issues with production systems.
• Proficient in analytics and reporting, with 5+ years of experience translating complex data into actionable business insights.
• Accomplished in data strategy, governance, and operations, with 5+ years of experience delivering solutions in these areas.
• An accomplished partner with business leaders, technology leaders, and senior executives with an ability to communicate concisely and clearly to audiences of varying technical levels.
• Proficient with data engineering, data analysis, data science, and machine learning with medium to large-scale data systems.
• Familiar with our tools, including experience with SQL, Python, dbt, Redshift, Fivetran, Airflow, Postgres, AWS, and more.
• Proficient in data privacy and security, with experience working with People, Product, Customer Success, Sales, Legal, Compliance, and Privacy teams to ensure that we enforce best practices and compliance standards for data privacy and security.
• Experienced with healthcare data and products.
• Ideally experienced in a startup environment, being part of a data team that achieved a successful exit is ideal but not required.
