Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Education Facilitator to join our team for a role within school districts in San Francisco, CA. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a strong background in special education and a commitment to supporting students with diverse needs.
Responsibilities…
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide direct support to students in various educational settings, ensuring that their unique needs are met.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student learning and development.
• Utilize assistive technology and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices to enhance student communication and learning.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Work itinerantly throughout the Bay Area, traveling to different school sites as assigned.
Requirements:
• Must meet all local and state requirements for an Education Facilitator in California, including:
• Valid California Teaching Credential with a Special Education authorization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field (MasterÂ’s preferred).
• Prior professional experience in Special Education, including experience as a tenured Paraprofessional or in providing speech-related services.
• Experience with AAC Devices is highly preferred.
• Valid California driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel between school sites.
• Must provide completed professional supervisory references.
