Event Coordinator

This is an entry level position where the ideal candidate has 1-3 yearÂ’s experience demonstrating leadership skills. We will train you on all aspects of producing events.

This position requires an able-bodied individual who is available to travel approximately 40% of the year.

As an Event Coordinator for American Consumer Shows (ACS), you will work with a fun, friendly and energetic team, passionate about growing our business and providing our clients with the highest level of service. With a passion for people, traveling, and producing events, you will be naturally obsessed with details, deadlines, and spreadsheets. Your adaptive personality and ability to multi-task will make you a strong candidate for this role. You are a take charge person with superior communication skills and the ability to deescalate situations while remaining calm under pressure.

We offer two part-time options. Four days a week and three days a week.

For the four days a week role, when you are working one of the company’s shows (20 weeks a year), your work schedule will be Friday through Monday. During weeks that the company doesnÂ’t produce shows (32 weeks a year) your work schedule will be Monday through Thursday. This role pays $44,000 per year.

For the three days a week role, when you are working one of the company’s shows (20 weeks a year), your work schedule will be Saturday through Monday. During weeks that the company doesnÂ’t produce shows (32 weeks a year) your work schedule will be Monday through Wednesday. This role pays $33,000 per year.

What you will be doing at our shows
• You will be on site, in charge of producing the show
• You will be the face of the company and point of contact at the event
• You will coordinate the move in and move out, helping exhibitors and attendees with questions and issues before, during and immediately following the show

What you will be doing when not at our shows
• You will be part of a team of in-house operations professionals organizing our nearly 200 annual events
• The Event Coordinator supports all facets of event production such as scheduling, planning, pricing, and coordinating
• You will follow a proven system and process for confirming details with internal and external parties, vendors suppliers and more
• You will have fun and learn about the events business

What you will bring
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Flexibility and openness to take on new projects and tasks in an ever-changing and growing company
• Preferred related education and/or experience
