About the position
The position involves working on the 3rd shift from Sunday to Thursday, with hours from 9:45 PM to 6:15 AM, and requires working two Saturdays a month. The role is focused on performing routine and manual tasks with a high level of attention to detail, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products. The ideal candidate will be a team player, capable of building positive relationships to achieve common goals, and must demonstrate reliability by managing their time effectively to ensure punctuality and productivity at work. In this role, you will be responsible for running production processes that include hand welding, operating robot level 2, and setting up CNC operations, in addition to fulfilling the responsibilities associated with Fabricator 3. You will conduct inspections according to relevant gage plans and must possess a working knowledge of operating calipers and angle gages. Troubleshooting problems that arise within the work center and with parts will also be part of your responsibilities. You will be accountable for cleaning and performing preventative maintenance on the machine center, ensuring compliance with the 6-S schedule, and performing minor repairs on fabrication cell equipment. Additionally, you will lead complex projects aimed at improving fabrication processes, managing change, and optimizing the floor placement of equipment. A self-starter with exceptional independent judgment and decision-making skills, particularly in problem-solving, is essential. You will need to understand and articulate continuous improvement in alignment with business needs.

Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED required.
,
• 2+ years of MIG and TIG welding experience required.
,
• Proficiency in operating basic fabrication equipment and Fabricator 1, 2, and 3 level equipment.

• Must have passed and maintain Level 3 Operator Qualifications.
,
• Quality training, including visual inspection of welds and part quality.
,
• Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints.
,
• Ability to use height stands, calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring systems.

• Ability to lift/carry 10-50 lbs. frequently, occasionally 50-75 lbs.

• Ability to perform tasks involving prolonged physical activity.
