Role Description:
We are seeking a Fiber Optic Installation Inspector to oversee the installation of fiber optic cables during construction projects. This role is crucial in ensuring that all work aligns with project specifications, industry standards, and client expectations. As a badged representative of the end client, you will be responsible for inspecting every stage of the fiber optic installation process to identify potential issues and verify the quality and integrity of the completed network.
This role will be needed for various projects located in: Marshall and Kingsville And Baytown, Texas
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of fiber optic cable placement, splicing, and termination, combined with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with construction teams, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee fiber optic cable installation during construction projects to ensure compliance with project blueprints, specifications, and industry standards.
• Conduct inspections at every stage of the process, including cable placement, splicing, and termination.
• Identify and address any potential issues or deviations from project requirements promptly.
• Act as a badged employee, representing the end client with professionalism and reliability.
• Provide detailed reports on project progress, inspection findings, and quality verification.
• Collaborate with construction teams and contractors to maintain project timelines and resolve on-site challenges.
• Ensure the integrity and performance of the completed network meet client expectations and technical standards.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in fiber optic installation, splicing, and termination, with a strong understanding of industry standards.
• Familiarity with construction project blueprints and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and represent the client professionally.
• Certifications such as CFOT (Certified Fiber Optic Technician) or equivalent are preferred but not required.
