GlobX Parcel Logistics LLC has an immediate opening for an experienced Fleet Manager/Driver Dispatcher. This is an on-site position and is based in San Jose, CA.
This is a senior management role in the company and we expect the right candidate to be the advocate for the Company and the Company culture, a creative critical thinker focused on the driver and delivery success. You are expected to challenge the status quo and drive continuous process- and operational-improvements, have a keen eye for details and consistently demonstrate a proactive sense of urgency. The candidate must be able to manage a Fleet of 35+ Vans: Maintenance, Repairs, Returns, Inventory, Gas Cards, Inspections, Recalls, Registration, Insurance, Van Log/Bookkeeping, etc. The candidate must maintain van inventory: phones, chargers, cables, accessories, etc.
The candidate must be comfortable with the use of technology (laptops, tablets, mobile phones, etc.) and various software applications such as Google Sheets, Docs and Asana Projects. The qualified candidate must also demonstrate strong professional and ethical verbal and written communication.

Annual salary of $35K to $50K, based on experience (exempt position)

Job Summary:
The qualified candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of daily Fleet, Delivery and Driver Operations.
Primary responsibility is ensuring 100% of the fleet is available and drivers are fully scheduled to deliver on time and 100% of equipment is ready in a timely manner.
Key areas of responsibility include, but not limited to:
Weekly Drivers Scheduling (Confirm daily)
Fleet availability
Inventory availability (phones, chargers, gas cards, cleanliness)
Route Assignments
Managing and assisting with morning driver/fleet load-out
Assisting drivers with delivery challenges and coordinating driver rescues as required
Overseeing driver Return to Station
Working closely with the Director proactively ensuring fleet availability/readiness and safety.
Manage a staff of 60-70 employees
Proactively Manage and document Driver Performance (FICO scores and Safety process compliance)
Keep accurate and timely records related to Fleet, Operations and Employees
Work closely and proactively with management and HR staff members to resolve challenges
Eligibility Requirements:
Minimum 2-3 years of Fleet Management and Driver Dispatch Coordination and/or Logistic Operations and Warehouse Management Experience
Must be eligible to legally work in the U.S.
Valid/Current California Driver License
Must consent to pre-employment verification
Able to lift up to 50lbs and get in and out of a large delivery vehicle with packages, as required
Must maintain active driver status (must drive/deliver as required)
Must be able to work alternate shift schedules, including weekends
Strong leadership and staff management skills
Proven track record of proactively driving operational improvements
