The Social Media Virtual Assistant will contribute to the success of our Tourism Social Media Manager by managing and scheduling social media posts among other helpful tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule social media posts across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, X, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn) using provided content.
• Ensure all posts are accurately scheduled and posted at optimal times.
• Monitor engagement on posts and notify the team of any significant interactions or inquiries.
• Assist in basic reporting on social media performance metrics.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure content aligns with our brand and marketing strategy.
• Stay updated with the latest social media best practices and tools.
• Draft copy for posts as needed.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in social media management or a similar role.
• Knowledge and familiarity of Upstate New York including: Albany, Saratoga, Glens Falls, Lake George and/or the Adirondacks.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Creative mindset with the ability to contribute new ideas.
Preferred Skills:
• Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) for minor content adjustments.
• Experience with analytics tools to track social media performance
