The Drury University Athletic Department is accepting applications for multiple graduate assistant positions. Graduate assistants will help promote the Panthers 22 NCAA DII intercollegiate athletic programs. Drury University is a member of the highly competitive Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Panthers athletic program is highly successful garnering 34 national championships. Assistantship positions are available in Facility Management/Game operations, Athletics Marketing/Game operations, Compliance/Game operations and Media Relations and Game operations

The Athletic Administration Graduate Assistants will receive a bi-weekly check based on a 29 hour work week at current state minimum wage and tuition remission for up to 15 graduate credits per year for 2 years. These positions offer an exciting opportunity for those passionate about working in a fast-paced, professional environment while pursuing a graduate degree.

Athletics Marketing/Game Operations – 12 month position. This graduate assistant will assist with marketing/advertising/sponsorships as well as promotions, fan engagement and student attendance for the athletic department. This individual will also have game day operation responsibilities as assigned.
• Responsible for aiding in the administration of day-to-day external & internal operations involving an intercollegiate athletic program.
• Assist with promotions and fan engagement activities as well as outreach to community groups. Focusing on increasing overall attendance, student attendance and revenue.
• Prepare all aspects of game-day promotions; assist with social media for the athletic department with creation of content, including graphics and video.
• Assist with game day operations as determined by the VP-Director of Athletics

Compliance/Game Operations- 9 month position. This graduate assistant will be assisting with NCAA Compliance in designated areas assigned by the departments NCAA Compliance Director. This individual will also have game day operation responsibilities as assigned.
• Responsible for aiding in the administration of day-to-day compliance involving and NCAA intercollegiate athletics program.
• Assist with tracking and reporting student-athletes’ eligibility status, ensuring compliance with NCAA and GLVC rules and regulations.
• Help manage and track student athletes’ participation in practice and competition to ensure adherence to NCAA limits.
• Assist with game day operations and other duties as determined by the VP-Director of Athletics.

Facilities Management/Game Operations- 12 month position. This graduate assistant will be assisting in areas of administrative operations of Drury’s athletic facilities. This individual will also have game day operation responsibilities as assigned.
• Works directly with the director of Athletic Facilities in day-to-day operations as well as various projects, DU athletic events, special events and rental groups.
• Focus on setting up and managing events, helping maintain athletic facilities and conducting pre- and post-game preparation of facilities.
• Assist with gameday production and operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Media Relations and Game Operations 12 month position. Assists the media relations staff with all aspects of an intercollegiate media relations department. This individual will also have game day operation responsibilities as assigned.
• Aids in the administration of day-to-day coverage of assigned sports.
• Assists with website updates as well as statistical updates and archives.
• Assists with creation of graphics, posters, publications, splash pages.
• Assists and/or creates scripts for public address announcer at athletic events. Set-up video equipment, create graphics, run and operate video internet broadcasts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

General Qualifications for all positions:
• Must be admitted into & enrolled full-time in a graduate program at Drury University
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications (Microsoft Office, Adobe, Canva, InDesign, etc.)
• Knowledge of NCAA policies preferred but not required.
