• Responsibilities*
– Operate cash registers efficiently and accurately to process customer transactions.
– Operate forklift or skidsteer to move, load and unload product.
– Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining product displays to ensure the store is well-organized and visually appealing.
– Engage with customers to provide assistance, answer questions, and promote products through effective upselling techniques.
– Conduct product demonstrations to showcase new items and encourage sales.
– Maintain knowledge of retail math to assist in inventory management and sales reporting.
– Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Qualifications*
– Previous experience in a hardware store or retail environment is preferred but not required.
– Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
– Basic knowledge of cash register operations and retail math principles.
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership skills when supervising others.
– Experience with product demonstrations and sales techniques is an advantage.
– Must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking in a busy environment.
