Open Until FilledBandera High School is seeking a Computer Science and Mathematics Teacher for the 2024-25 school year.
Bandera ISD operates on a 4-Day instructional week (Mon.-Thurs.) for the 2024-25 school year. Athletic/Extra-curricular events will be held as required on all weekdays
Start Date: Immediate
Responsibilities: Position is responsible for teaching High School level Computer Science and Mathematics courses.
Grades: 9th – 12th
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
– Texas Teaching License and appropriate endorsements for the grade levels and subjects taught
Additional Information:
– Team planning with colleagues to ensure high quality instruction and assessment
– Develop, modify and prepare curricula to ensure high quality instruction based upon student abilities and skill levels
– Provide classroom instruction to whole groups, small groups, and individuals
– Demonstrate the effective use of technology to enhance instruction and support student interest and growth
– Design assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding in a variety of ways.
– Collect and analyze student data to drive instruction
– Collaborate with students, parents, and other members of staff, and provide meaningful feedback
– Communicate necessary information and student progress regularly to students, colleagues, and parents
– Work cohesively with the campus staff in a fast-paced atmosphere
– Work cooperatively with Special Education teachers to modify curricula, and instruct and assess Special Education students in the regular classroom
– Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)
– Participate in staff development activities and improve job-related skills
