Job Description:
Mission Respite has an immediate opening for a detail-oriented and proactive HR Assistant (remote) to support our human resources department in various recruitment, hiring, and payroll processes. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of HR functions, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Interview Coordination and Support:
• Conduct interviews with potential Respite Companions.
• Maintain interview records and feedback.
• Provide timely communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
2. Hiring and Onboarding:
• Run background checks on potential Respite Companions.
• Support the hiring process by collecting and reviewing application materials.
• Prepare offer letters and new hire documentation.
• Facilitate new employee onboarding, including orientation and paperwork.
3. Payroll Administration:
• Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for all employees.
• Ensure accurate and timely collection of employee timesheets.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries regarding paychecks, taxes, and deductions.
4. HR Administrative Support:
• Maintain employee records, ensuring all files are updated and compliant with legal requirements.
• Provide administrative support including compliance reporting.
• Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and company-wide events.
Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of experience in recruiting or HR
• Familiarity with HR functions, including interviewing and hiring..
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• High level of professionalism and integrity.
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive and approachable demeanor with strong customer service orientation.
