Well established non-profit organization providing affordable housing and economic support to individuals and families in Western Massachusetts is seeking to add a 4+ year Attorney to its mission driven team. This Attorney will report directly to the CLO and will handle a broad array of matters including assisting with contracts, providing advice and risk analysis concerning the applicability of… and compliance with all federal and state statutes, regulations, and contracts that may impact agency programs, policy operations or spending activities including the Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing Livable Communities and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. A core focus of this role will be handling litigation before courts and relevant administrative bodies. Significant experience with all facets of litigation from research, discovery, motions practice to regularly appearing in court, is required. Experience with non-profits, real estate, fair housing, and social justice strongly preferred. This attorney may work on a hybrid-remote basis but must live within a reasonable commutable distance to the organizations offices and courts and administrative agencies located in Westen Massachusetts.
