Job Description:

The Business Optimization Systems and Solutions (BOSS) team is seeking a talented IT Systems Engineer with DevOps experience to support several enterprise IT services. The BOSS team develops several Microsoft-based .NET custom web applications and supports several commercial-of-the-shelf (COTS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Business Intelligence solutions. The position will support the full system lifecycle of delivered services from requirements definition to system design to security reviews to deployment/implementation to operations and maintenance (O&M). You must have practical, hands-on experience in IT System Engineering, systems administration, information/cyber security, and performance management. The ideal candidate for this role should also have experience working with fully managed servers, containers, and serverless workloads.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES include:

• Work closely with software development, operations, security, and project teams to deliver enterprise services in AWS, Azure, and private/hybrid cloud environments.

• Analyze requirements, design solutions, provision resources, install/configure services, and provide on-going operations and maintenance support as needed.

• Deploy and manage custom Microsoft .NET web applications.

• Integrate and manage COTS and SaaS solutions.

• Complete security documentation, participate in security reviews, and remediate security vulnerabilities.

• Perform real-time system monitoring of service resources and key processes.

• Provide Tier 2/3 support of our products and services.

• Provide on-call/after-hours support (on rotation).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of System Engineering or System Administration experience. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree

• Experience administering Windows Server operating systems (Linux a plus), system and performance monitoring, and configuration management

• Excellent problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Must be self-motivated, proactive, and capable of independently planning and prioritizing work.

SKILLS

• Experience supporting Microsoft Web Servers and Microsoft SQL

• Experience managing servers and services in AWS or Azure

• Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure DevOps Server, and DevOps pipelines

• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker

• Experience with Terraform and Ansible
