Key Responsibilities:
• Provide Remote Therapy: Deliver speech-language therapy sessions to K-12 students via a user-friendly online platform.
• Evaluate and Assess: Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ speech and language abilities and create individualized treatment plans.
• Develop and Implement IEPs: Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Track Student Progress: Maintain accurate records of student progress, therapy notes, and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and administrators to ensure the best possible support for students.
• Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest speech therapy practices and telehealth trends to ensure the highest level of service.
What You Need to Succeed:
• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathologist Endorsement (required).
• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
• ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) is preferred but not required.
• 2+ years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist (experience in schools preferred).
• Strong knowledge of the IEP process, speech-language assessment tools, and therapy techniques.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to build rapport with students, parents, and school staff in a virtual environment.
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using teletherapy platforms (training will be provided on our tools).
• A passion for helping students succeed and a dedication to providing exceptional care remotely.
