Key Responsibilities
• Provide virtual teaching and tailored support to students with special needs, both individually and in small groups.
• Customize and adapt instructional materials and techniques to address the distinct learning requirements of students with disabilities.
• Leverage virtual platforms to effectively engage students in interactive learning experiences.
• Track student progress, evaluate their strengths and areas for improvement, and deliver consistent feedback and motivation.
• Collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and fellow education professionals to create and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to individual student needs.
Qualifications
• Master’s Degree in Special Education or a related discipline.
• Active certification in Special Education from New York State, or a commitment to obtain certification prior to commencing the role.
• Proficiency with virtual learning platforms and technology for effective remote instruction.
