Position Summary:
The role of the Insurance Collections Specialist is contact and collect on past due accounts receivables, denials, and appeals of claims from a variety of insurance payers. Our team members provide the highest quality service while supporting the mission and clients of RevNu Medical Management.
Essential Functions:

• Responsible to reduce 90 days plus of aged A/R.
• Analyze Explanation of Benefits (EOB’s) and Correspondence to identify zero pays and underpayments.
• Responsible to follow-up with healthcare insurance companies on outstanding medical claims and appeals.
• Review insurance cards, authorizations, and medical records.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility.
• Maintain open communication with the insurance verification team, billing department and office support staff.
• Conduct collection actions and provide resolution for complex accounts.
• Provide supporting documentation that supports collection actions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to communicate in a professional manner; both verbally and written.
Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.
Required Education and Experience:
Experience and education requirements may be adjusted where necessary in response to labor market constraints.
• High School Diploma, Associates Degree or higher and/or specialized training in medical collections preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience performing medical claims resolution and management required.
• Minimum of one year of experience with collecting from government payers (Medicare & Medi-Cal) preferred.
• Ability to identify, research, and solve payers’ denials.
• Must have the ability to prioritize accounts receivable report based on importance.
• Qualified candidates must display strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Must be persistent and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner; both verbally and written.
• Excellent interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a wide range of patients, colleagues, and vendors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.

Expected Hours of Work:
This is an in office or REMOTE IF NOT LOCAL TO THE CORP OFFICE – Full-time position Standard days of work are Monday through Friday and hours of work may vary from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. PST as needed or may be adjusted for specific zones. This position does not require weekend work.
