Responsibilities:
Establish, manage and maintain the Altera Global Managed Services Storage and Data Protection (Backup) infrastructure that meets agreed functional requirements and customer expectations
Backup: –
• 3-5 years of Data Protect (Backup) technology experience.
• Excellent knowledge on Veeam backup & Replication, IBM Spectrum Protect (TSM),
• Experience in Backup management inclusive of administration, implementation, upgrades, troubleshooting on various backup application tools.
• Primary skill as IBM Spectrum Protect (TSM), Secondary skill Veeam backup & replication.
• Manage different Backup configurations, Agent and Snapshot based & SQL DB backup clients.
• Manage different restore operations: Complex and Cross restore
• Installation and configuration of various backup clients such as File System, DB, VM, System state backup in various backup application tools.
• Excellent Knowledge on storage pools Data domain, ExaGrid, DD boost integrated device, Tape library, disk… library and repositories.
• Decommissioning clients which include perform full backup and deregister server from backup tool.
• Basis troubleshooting skills on desktops and serves.
• Ability to communicate clearly with a wide range of people such as peers, managers, customers, and vendors via phone or email.
• Understanding of ITIL process.
• Prepare daily backup report and health status of all backup clients.
• Monitor infrastructure remotely.
• Ensure that the assigned infrastructure at the client is configured, installed, tested and operational.
• Investigate first line support calls.
• 24*7 support and ready to work in rotational shifts.
• Need to work on Incident, Service request and change.
• On-Call after office hours support for priority cases
