JOB PURPOSE:
The Part-Time Education and Training Program Assistant is an administrative and operational role supporting the education strategy and delivery of Twin Cities RISE (TCR) training programs. The position will be involved in a variety of activities and accountabilities from scheduling, reporting, and session facilitation support. Learning Management System (LMS) administration, content management, and participant communication. The role will work closely with TCR聮s Education Strategy Coordinator to execute TCR聮s Educational Strategy, maintain efficiency in delivery and execution, maximize both on-line and in-person learning experiences, and achieve TCR聮s strategic goals. Position is a part-time hybrid role with facilitation mostly in a virtual classroom.
20 hours max weekly flexing schedule to support day and evening cohorts. Cohorts are 2.5 hrs.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
路 Manage administration of session scheduling and facilitate communication throughout the organization.
路 Support facilitators by monitoring chat, attendance, and behavior during sessions as scheduled.
路 Ability to troubleshoot technical problems related to Zoom, such as audio/video issues, screen sharing, and connectivity problems.
路 Security Awareness: Awareness of Zoom security features and best practices to ensure the safety and privacy of participants, including managing meeting passwords and enabling waiting rooms.
路 Attendance Tracking: Proficiency in using Zoom’s attendance tracking features and excel tools to monitor participant attendance during online sessions.
路 Coordinate communication with links for accessibility as new cohorts are launched and manage kick-off events to maximize attendance.
路 Perform basic LMS functionality, support participants access to LMS as requested.
路 Maintain Training Content Files for Education Services and Facilitators
路 Maintain and organize Education Reporting resources measuring results and outcomes (Salesforce and Others)
路 With the Education Strategy Coordinator- continue to develop and document Educational Services processes to improve efficiency and maximize results
路 Perform Task Approvals for assigned LMS activities.
路 Ensure education calendar is updated and accurate for cohorts.
路 Coordinate delivery of certificates and other credentials for participants upon completion.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None. This position does not supervise team members.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Education and Experience
路 A bachelor’s degree in education, instructional technology, or a related field is preferred. Relevant coursework or certifications in educational technology can also be beneficial.
路 In-depth knowledge of Zoom features and settings, including scheduling meetings, managing breakout rooms, controlling participant permissions, and troubleshooting common issues.
路 Proficiency in using LMS platforms and other educational technology tools.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
路 Knowledge of strategies to engage participants effectively during Zoom sessions, such as using interactive features, chat, and polling.
路 Ability to identify and address issues related to the LMS, communication, and tracking participant progress.
路 Experience with administrative tasks related to education, such as record-keeping, data management, and communication, is important.
路 Strong computer skills, including familiarity with email, spreadsheets, and document management systems.
路 Excellent skills in organization, attention to detail and time management.
路 Accuracy in data entry and record-keeping is crucial to ensure that participant information and progress are tracked correctly.
路 Ability to adapt to changing needs, technology upgrades, and program requirements.
路 Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are necessary to manage attendance records, track progress, and coordinate completion ceremonies for participants.
路 Solid problem-solving skills.
路 Ability to communicate effectively with both participants and colleagues including the ability to develop rapport and build strong, trusting relationships.
路 Ability to develop and maintain professional, collaborative relationships.
路 Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for sending clear and informative communications to cohorts.
路 Ability to flex schedule to provide assistance for evening cohorts.
路 Ability to work cross-culturally and commitment to engaging in diversity, equity and inclusion efforts across the organization.
路 A passion for the nonprofit’s mission and a genuine interest in helping participants succeed is highly value.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must be able to perform the primary duties and responsibilities of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Physical Demands
路 Ability to use a PC/laptop, requiring repetitive motion of fingers, hands and wrists.
路 Required to occasionally move about in an office environment to access file cabinets, printers, etc., and remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
路 Required to move about in a classroom during training facilitation.
路 Ability to lift light materials and equipment in the typical office environment (up to 15 lbs.).
路 Ability to be on video calls, with camera on, for all meetings.

路 Travel requirements: Position will be expected to travel throughout the Twin Cities metro area to attend meetings and other events.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
路 $22.16 to $26.60 per hour.
路 Sick and Safe Time accrues 1 hour for each 30 hours worked to a maximum of 80 hours.
