The Ford Agency is actively recruiting for a part-time HR Manager to work for a financial services firm that provides HR services to small non-profit and for-profit organizations. The Manager will work closely with the COO and clients on a variety of HR processes, compliance with federal, state, and local laws, benefits, talent acquisition, and employee relations. This is an excellent role for a… candidate with a SHRM certificate and solid HR experience who is looking to work about 10-30hours/month.
Responsibilities Include:
• Collaborate with the COO to assist with HR needs for a variety of clients
• Maintain updated knowledge of compliance, laws, and regulations (federal, state, and local)
• Write content for HR blogs and social media
• Conduct salary surveys and review with clients
• Manage benefits and assist with open enrollment
• Manage talent acquisition process, sourcing candidates, interviewing, and hiring
• Assist clients with employee relations, performance improvement plans, sensitive questions, and other issues that may arise
• Make recommendations to clients on policies and procedures
Qualifications Include:
• 5+ years HR experience, ideally for a nonprofit
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Multi-state HR experience, including CA and NY
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Dropbox
Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
