What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
– Assist students in peer instruction during class sessions
– Participate in weekly instructional team meetings
– Grade student assignments and provide feedback
– Support course delivery using the Canvas platform
– Engage with sustainability topics during instruction
What is Required (Qualifications):
– Experience assisting students in mathematics at the college algebra level
– Strong communication skills
– Interest in topics related to sustainability
– Ability to work collaboratively within an instructional team
– Must be available for up to 12 hours per week
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
– Previous experience as a teaching assistant or tutor in mathematics
– Familiarity with the Canvas learning management system
– Passion for sustainability and environmental issues
– Enrollment in a related degree program at the university
