What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
– Assist patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits
– Collect accurate demographic and insurance information, as well as patient liability at the time of service
– Perform financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts during registration downtimes
– Greet and serve patients and internal team members in a professional and respectful manner
– Handle a high volume of calls and urgent requests while maintaining confidentiality
What is Required (Qualifications):
– High school diploma or equivalent required
– Minimum of 1-2 years prior registration experience preferred
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
– Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and maintain strict confidentiality
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
– Certification as a Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred
– Functional computer skills with comfort using various programs and excellent typing abilities
