JOB DESCRIPTION
Collaborative Learning Solutions is looking for a Per Diem Educational Specialist who wants to apply their knowledge, skills, and expertise gained from working in public education to support Local Education Agencies (LEAs) with developing and implementing integrated equitable solutions to support the growth and development of ALL students. In essence, the Per Diem Educational Specialist provides dedicated, tailor-made professional development, coaching, and consultation to school/district leaders, principals, teachers, and the school community as a whole.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to student success, excellent facilitation and communication skills, and a demonstrated passion for improving the educational environment. They should be proactive, adaptable, and capable of thinking outside the box to develop innovative climate and culture solutions. Additionally, the candidate should possess strong leadership qualities, be able to inspire and motivate others, and have a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the PK-12 education system. A collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community are essential.
The ideal candidate will also embody servant leadership by prioritizing serving others, building trust, listening actively, reflecting on actions, adding value, showing courage, living by values, and increasing positive influence.
This position is perfect for individuals seeking a flexible, per diem opportunity. Ideal for those who do not require a full-time commitment, this role offers the chance to balance work with other personal or professional pursuits. The number of days for this position is unpredictable and based on market demand.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct Client Services
? Professional Learning: Provide PD, coaching, and consultation on various climate and culture topics.
? Client Assessment: Evaluate client needs and coordinate service plans.
? Policy Review: Review and recommend alignment of district policies with initiatives.
? Support Structures: Help LEAs establish Tier I, II, and III supports.
? Research Synthesis: Communicate relevant research to leaders and school teams.
? Cultural Responsiveness: Facilitate problem-solving conversations with a cultural lens.
? Presentations: Present to school boards and executive leadership.
? Meeting Facilitation: Lead district leadership and building-level team meetings.
? Student Training: Conduct training sessions for students.
? Complex Initiative Implementation: Manage and implement initiatives across multiple schools or districts.
? Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as needed.
EXPERIENCE
? Experience working in public PK-12 settings (required)
? Experience in data-based decision-making (required)
? Educational leadership experience (at least 2 years required)
? Experience with designing and implementing systems of tiered support (at least 2 years required)
? Training and experience in areas of cultural responsiveness and Educational Equity and/or Restorative Practices/ Restorative Justice (preferred)
EDUCATION
? Master?s degree (required)
? Valid Educational Credential ? i.e., Teaching: Multiple Subject, Single Subject, Educational Specialist, Pupil Personnel Services, and/or Administrative Service Credential (preferred)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORKING CONDITIONS
? Must be able to work at various locations; manage a flexible schedule including overnight travel to various LEAs throughout the Nation (up to 75% travel depending on one?s residence).
? Attend meetings scheduled throughout the school day and at reasonable times before and after the traditional school day.
? Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many disruptions throughout the day.
? Involves sitting, walking, use of computers, office equipment, and driving a personal vehicle.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
? Per Diem – hours/days vary depending on demand
? Compensation: $600-$900 per day depending on experience
