What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
– Provide patient/provider/customer care and support
– Utilize the pharmacy computer system to assist with patient care
– Participate in patient/provider/customer care activities under the supervision of a pharmacist
– Prepare and label medications for distribution accurately
– Manage inventory for medications and supplies, ensuring proper record-keeping
What is Required (Qualifications):
– High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
– Certified Pharmacy Technician within 2 years from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB or NHA)
– Computer literacy and familiarity with healthcare regulatory environments
– Strong teamwork and communication skills
– Ability to maintain compliance with organization policies and procedures
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
– Experience in a pharmacy setting or related healthcare environment
– Additional certifications or advanced training in pharmacy practices
– Familiarity with pharmaceutical names and medication management
– Knowledge of inventory management systems
– Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
