What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
– Specialized academic instruction for students with disabilities
– Case management duties including scheduling and holding IEP meetings
– Communication virtually via video conference, teleconference, phone calls, email, and instant messaging
– Participate in-person for state testing at a location near your residence
– Manage a caseload of students across various grade levels
What is Required (Qualifications):
– Permanent California Residence (Must currently reside in Placer County)
– Valid/current Preliminary/Clear/Life California Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Mild/Moderate or the new Mild/Moderate Support Needs AND/OR Moderate/Severe Disabilities or the new Extensive Support Needs
– California English Learner Authorization- Issued by CTC
– Credential Copy, English Learner Authorization, Letter of Introduction, Resume
– Problem-solving skills, use of technology in the classroom, and strengths and weaknesses of online classroom platforms
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
– 0-3 years of experience in online education or special education
– Experience with ELL students in a virtual setting
