Description
In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the development and financing of distributed solar assets. Working closely with the VP of Project Finance, you’ll be involved in a range of exciting projects that drive our mission forward.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the financing of distributed generation solar assets.
• Analyze new solar energy markets and assess utility solar programs.
• Prepare detailed project finance models.
• Support both buy-side and sell-side portfolios of solar projects.
• Develop and maintain financial models in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• Research and analyze tariffs, incentives, and net metering rules for commercial and industrial solar business development.
• Conduct due diligence on projects and collaborate with sources of development debt, construction debt, permanent debt, and tax equity investors.
• Create presentations and aggregate data for project portfolios.
• Work cross-departmentally to ensure smooth collaboration and communication throughout the project development process.
• Travel to project sites and attend stakeholder meetings as needed.

• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Ability to navigate undeveloped land, travel independently, and sit at a computer for extended periods.
• Up to 10% travel required.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, business, or technical field.
• Experience with Excel spreadsheets, financial modeling, and data analysis.
• Understanding of financial and accounting principles.
• Knowledge of the electricity industry and its economic trends.
• Basic familiarity with solar industry concepts (e.g., net metering and QF tariffs).
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret large amounts of data from various sources.
Office Location & Travel Requirements
Our ideal candidate will be based in the Atlanta, Georgia area and will work from our Midtown HQ in line with our hybrid work policy. Remote candidates within a manageable distance from Atlanta (Eastern Standard Time Zone) will also be considered. Occasional travel to HQ and other meetings may be required.
